New! Finches Family Nature Journal Club

I am excited to announce that Finches now has an official Family Nature Journal Club. We have monthly FREE events where we help kids and families learn and hone their naturalists' skills. We use journals to record our observations and questions that we discover outdoors. The best way to keep in the know about this monthly journal club is to join the Facebook group Finches Family Nature Journal Club. You can follow the link or when you visit Finches Naturalist Studio FB page you can ask to join the group there. In the group you will meet other families that share our love of journaling outdoors with our kids. It is a private place to ask questions, post journal images, and share relevant nature and art articles. (This is a supportive group that does not tolerate negative or inappropriate postings.)

Our next journal club meeting is Sunday, March 15th at 9:30 am at Lake Anza in Tilden Park in Berkeley, CA. We will be in the picnic area by the Lake Anza parking. Look for the yellow balloons. This is a FREE family event. No experience needed. We will observe and record the nature around Lake Anza. Finches will have drawing supplies. Kids will get a Free nature journal to work in. Parents can journal too if they bring their own book. Great for ages 5-15.

On going we will generally meet every 3rd Sunday of the month. Mostly it will be in Tilden, but always check the facebook group or sign up for our Finches Feeder Newsletter to receive an email about any changes.
